Experience: Nancy has many years of experience working with people who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, emotion dysregulation, relationship and attachment challenges, and many other mental health concerns. Before attaining her master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and becoming a therapist, Nancy worked as a corrections officer and even spent some time living in Korea working as an English teacher.

Nancy is caring, non-judgmental, empathetic, and presents with a calm nature. Nancy believes that healing oneself is something that comes with time and compassion. She has worked with folks in both individual and group settings. She works hard to provide people with the tools necessary to live a healthy, happy, productive life. 

 

Training: Nancy is a registered clinical counsellor with BCACC. She is formally trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), EFFT (Emotion Focussed Family Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma Focussed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), Attachment Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing as well as others. Nancy is devoted to helping individuals understand their challenges and begin to heal themselves through therapeutic work.

 

Interests: Nancy enjoys the outdoors and loves to spend time in this beautiful province with her family and friends. She is well travelled and has visited and lived in many different countries, a few of them being, England, Australia, Thailand, Korea, Chile and even Easter Island! Nancy speaks Hindi fluently, loves to cook, and is a horror movie enthusiast!
