Experience

Hannah has worked with many people who struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, identity issues, and relationship issues. She takes a strength-based and compassionate approach with her clients to work towards their goals. Hannah believes that through therapy we can take a different perspective on our problems, develop a willingness to accept painful experiences, practice mindfulness to live in the moment, discover what we value, and commit to living a valued life.

Hannah has been working in the mental health field for over 15 years. She is grateful for the opportunities she has had in providing therapy and group therapy to children, youth, and families in residential and community mental health centres.

Training

Hannah is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC. Hannah is formally trained in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy), EFFT (Emotion Focused Family Therapy), Narrative Family Therapy, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), as well as others. Hannah is most passionate about practicing ACT and mindfulness therapies as these fit her style and values.

Interests

Hannah enjoys spending time in nature with her young son and observing the world through his eyes. She likes to watch cooking videos but rarely makes anything from the videos. Hannah is of Korean descent and the older she gets realizes that being rooted in culture is important and that includes watching K-dramas.

Services

Hannah is offering clinical counselling to children, youth, and adults. When working with children and youth, Hannah uses art, creativity, and play to engage young people in therapy. Please use the contact form on the website for an appointment.
