Minou Truong, MCP, CCC, RCC
AVAILABLE AT PORT COQUITLAM & VANCOUVER LOCATIONS
Experience
Minou works with teens and adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, disordered eating, body image concerns, and major life changes.
Whether clients are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply trying to better understand themselves, Minou aims to provide a supportive space where they can explore what’s going on openly and without judgement. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine connection, with a focus on helping clients feel heard, understood, and supported at their own pace. When working with couples, Minou helps partners improve communication, navigate conflict, strengthen emotional connection, and better understand one another’s needs and patterns
.
Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, Minou tailors therapy to each person’s unique needs, goals, and experiences. She values balancing practical tools and coping strategies with deeper conversations that encourage insight, growth, and self-understanding.
Training
Minou draws from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed work, somatic approaches, narrative therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and person-centred therapy. Her work is trauma-informed, collaborative, and flexible, recognizing that every client brings different strengths, experiences, and goals into the therapy process. Minou also has a background in sex therapy and working through an emotionally-focused lens when it comes to her work with couples.
Services
Minou is available to work with teens (10+), adults, and couples through virtual and/or in-person counselling sessions.
